A proud moment for the team at Solicon Conservatory Roofs! 🏠

We’re delighted to have been featured by RoofersCoffeeShop UK and Tapco Roofing Products, talking about what goes into the work we do and why we continue to handcraft every one of our conservatory roofs on site.

With around 250 roof transformations completed each year, no two projects are ever quite the same. We’ve always believed in doing things properly - combining traditional craftsmanship with modern materials to create comfortable, energy-efficient spaces that genuinely feel like part of the home.

A huge thank you to our installation teams and everyone behind the scenes who maintains the standards we’re so proud of.

And, of course, thank you to all of our customers who continue to recommend us to friends and family - a huge proportion of our work comes through recommendations, and that means a great deal to us.

Before and After - From an old conservatory roof to a fully insulated solid roof with two VELUX windows - ready to enjoy all year round.

Another great transformation completed by the SC Roofs team! 🏠🔨

This large P-shaped conservatory has been upgraded with a fully insulated tiled roof, completely changing the look and feel of the existing structure.

With a roof of this size and shape, there’s plenty going on - multiple facets, valleys and connections into the house - but the finished result ties everything together beautifully.

The customer also chose to include two VELUX roof windows, bringing plenty of natural light back into the room while still benefiting from the comfort and thermal performance of a solid insulated roof.

A really nice example of how even larger and more complex conservatories can be transformed into a space that feels much more like a permanent part of the home.

🏠 Fully insulated solid roof
☀️ Two VELUX roof windows
🔨 Bespoke roof built to suit the existing conservatory
🏡 Finished with lightweight slate-effect tiles
🌧️ New leadwork, fascia, guttering and weatherproofing

Another one ready to be enjoyed all year round!

Now this is definitely a first for us! ☁️🦅✈️

For this project in Surbiton, we installed a new flat EPDM insulated conservatory roof - but once our work was finished, the customer decided that a plain ceiling simply wasn’t going to cut it!

They’ve transformed the inside with their very own hand-painted sky mural, complete with clouds, birds, trees and even a few aircraft flying overhead. 🎨

We love seeing how customers put their own stamp on their new space, but this has to be one of the most creative we’ve seen!

A true one-off - and certainly a conservatory ceiling you won’t find anywhere else. 💙

Fantastic work by the customer, and a brilliant finishing touch to their new Solicon roof.

It’s all in the finish! 👌🏡

Here’s a recent project completed in Tonbridge, showcasing one of the premium external finishes we can offer - silicone render.

On this project, we constructed new insulated stud walls as part of the transformation, with the customer choosing a crisp white silicone render as the final external finish.

It’s a great option for customers looking for something a little different to cladding, giving the new walls a clean, modern appearance that works beautifully alongside the existing brickwork. ✨

And it doesn’t have to be white! With a huge range of render colours available, the finish can be chosen to complement the existing property and really tie the whole transformation together. 🎨

We think the finished result on this one looks incredibly smart! 💙

Another fantastic transformation, this time in Uckfield! 🏡✨

This impressive Georgian conservatory is a big one, and with a custom water detail running along the back wall, it was certainly a project with a difference!

The customer made a brilliant choice with the roof tiles, which complement the French oak conservatory frames beautifully and help the new roof feel completely at home with the existing structure. 👌

To keep plenty of natural light flooding into the room, the customer also chose to incorporate two Velux windows into the new roof. ☀️

Inside, they customised the lighting layout to suit exactly how they plan to use the space - creating a room that’s not only great to look at, but functional and versatile too. 💡

A big conservatory, some lovely bespoke details, and another space ready to be enjoyed all year round. 💙

Another one coming together beautifully in Bognor Regis! 🏡✨

A lovely smooth plastered finish to the new ceiling, paired with that exposed brick back wall - we think it’s a great combination! 👌

And we have to give the customer credit for the tile choice too! They absolutely nailed it - the new roof blends beautifully with the existing house and looks like it’s always been there. 🏠

Plenty of character inside, a seamless finish outside, and another conservatory transformed into a space that can be enjoyed all year round.

Great work from the Solicon team! 💙
