Doing our bit for the Town. Keep this location in the back of your mind as you just never know guys.

On the 19th of January 2022 Featherstone Town Council Central Ward Councillors (Councillors Longley OStJ, Hutsby and Wright) have facilitated the installation of a further publicly accessible defibrillator in the town. The defibrillator is located on Green Lane outside of the Lyndale Care Facility, who’s manager Jim Hunt has graciously supported the installation on their building. The town council would also like to pay special mention to DunnCroft Electrical Solutions who have installed the defibrillator and cabinet free of charge.

The defibrillator is available 24 hours a day and can be accessed through the 999 telephone system and supplements the public defibrillators already accessible on Station Lane (Featherstone) and Whinney Lane (Streethouse). Anyone within the local vicinity of any of these defibrillators who call 999 with a condition where a defibrillator may be of benefit will be given the location and access code to open the defibrillator cabinet by the 999 telephone operator. This will allow someone to bring the defibrillator to the patient whilst waiting for an ambulance to arrive. These defibrillators can be used without formal training as they instruct you on how to operate them in an emergency.

Councillor Dwain Longley OStJ who is also a paramedic operations manager was quoted as saying,

“These publicly accessible defibrillators allow local people to help their friends and family at a time where they need them most of all, early CPR and early defibrillation is part of the chain of survival and gives those who have stopped breathing and who’s heart has stopped the greatest chance of survival”
This defibrillator is part of a programme by the town council to increase the number of publicly accessible defibrillators across the town. Further communications will be published by the town council as and when these are installed.

As a company we have been lucky enough to work throughout this pandemic as key workers. Dunncroft understand that others haven't been in this situation and have fallen on bad times some resulting in not being able to feed their kids. We are wanting to know how to get into contact with someone to make a £200 donation to Featherstone Food Bank to try our best to make a difference to vulnerable families in our community.
Does anyone know or can put us into contact with the relevant people who can help us give this little donation to help people locally. Cheers Bear and Dunny.

Can anyone put us in touch with someone involved with the War Horse memorial in Featherstone?

We would be willing to install some lighting at no cost to illuminate the statue at night. Obviously this is only achievable if there is some power available nearby.

This should help to deter Vandals from Damaging it and would make the War Horse eye catching from the road side during darker months.
