Hi All

We’re inundated with calls today with the majority of issues being frozen condisate pipes.

These can easily be fixed by carefully pouring boiling water on to the plastic condisate pipe and gently tapping the pipe to release the ice.

Error codes for this issue would be
BAXI - E133 or E128
Ideal - F1 or F2
Worcester - EA
Vaillant - F29

For any other boilers please check your manufactures instructions for flame failure error code.

Dear Valued Customer

Having closely followed developments over the last few days regarding Covid-19 and following the Prime Ministers announcement yesterday, we have made the decision to close North East Boiler Care with immediate effect to all non-emergency works and we will prioritise people who have no heating or hot water.
Emergency Calls
As stated, we are remaining open for emergency works, gas leaks, no heating or no hot water. When inspections or investigations must take place. Our engineers are taking a range of precautions to protect the public and our engineers. These are based on the guidance provided on Gov.UK, and include:
• Personal protective equipment, frequent hand washing with soap or the use of alcohol hand sanitising gel.
• Engineers visiting sites, confirm prior to entering the property, whether anyone is self-isolating, or has been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with Covid-19 or has recently gone into self-isolation?
• If the answer is yes, then the inspection will be cancelled and re-scheduled at a later date.
Advice for Landlords – CP12
We are aware that the new restrictions announced by the UK Prime minister on leaving your own home and avoidance on any social contact will reduce the ability for landlords to arrange annual safety checks. Gas Safe are working with HSE to provide new guidance specific to this initial 3-week period.
Annual Service
If you have an annual service due to be completed during the initial 3-week national lock down. When our normal services resume, we will backdate it so that any services which were due over the coming weeks can be completed when it is safe to do so. Please note boiler warranties WILL NOT be affected, as long as the service is done within a reasonable time after the country isolation period is over.
We apologise for the inconvenience and we understand that everyone is doing their best to work through this difficult and unprecedented situation. We will continue to keep you updated of the situation and thank you for your continued loyalty and support.
