William Bowley were thrilled to have the opportunity to tender for the “minor” improvements to this wonderful apartment.
The new owner of this property had modest aspirations to begin with, involving a replacement kitchen and some simple enhancements to a couple of the bathrooms. The project turned out very differently indeed following a chance viewing of the substantial work being carried out on another apartment in the building. Major structural alterations ensued, allowing the kitchen to be opened up into the living room and expansion of the opening through to the dining area, creating a wonderful open plan space from which the magnificent sea and harbour views can now be enjoyed.

We installed a full water-fed underfloor heating system, new hot water cylinder, stunning new kitchen and two new bathrooms and utility. New lighting design, removal of plaster cornice, replacement doors, skirting, architrave and flooring all contribute to the beautiful modern finish of the property.

Client Testimonial - Poole, Main House
William Bowley began their second project for us in January 2023. This involved a complete internal renovation of our house. We handed them the house over and rented for 9 months in the local area. Working with both Nick’s has been a pleasure. Nick Turner project manages very hands on and rarely is not on site managing the various trades all of which are a well-oiled and loyal team of contractors. The project included complete property underfloor heating, new electricity, bathrooms, kitchen and re configuration of both floors to the house. The house was stripped back completely and remade internally. The project was well budgeted and although that budgeted increased that was almost always due to us pushing the specification up from our initial requirements i.e. we upgraded our kitchen and bathroom choices. Nick is very particular on finishing and quality of work, and we have been left with our dream home (delivered a week early). Having had friends have quite bad experiences locally with building contractors we feel very lucky to have found William Bowley and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Having completed the full refurbishment of the Annex to this property back in 2019, William Bowley were super happy to be invited back to complete the remodel and total refurbishment of the main house in 2023.

We have repositioned the master bedroom and ensuite off the back of the house adjoining a new large dressing room, which has created space for a 4th & 5th bedroom with guest bathroom above the garage extension. Underfloor heating zones have been created on both floors coupled with all new doors, flooring, lighting, electrics and bathrooms; it’s pretty much a brand new house.
However the main event is surely the stunning contemporary kitchen which flows beautifully into the dining room and snug areas, which has greatly improved access & the general feel of the ground floor. It even has its own games room with pool table and freestanding console area. The client has chosen some beautiful fixtures and fittings and the parquet and heritage style flooring really makes the oak / glass staircase stand-out. A thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding project to have been involved with.
