Morning All,

Final day of the Dorset spring show,
Weather turned in our favour.

Yesterday we had alot good feed back on our pet project. The ready made pond. Looking to adapt and improve it for our next show in to weeks.

The difference you can make with the right materials and Knowledge .

Having had the pond first initial built back in 2025 the design didn't meet the clients vision so we were tasked with a total redesign the only thing kept was the original pump.

Middle of February we were asked back to carry out another clean out of Forest Holme Hospice's pond as the fountain had slowed and the gravel filter had clogged up.

This is the 3rd time we've done it in about 8 years. Takes 2-3 days to do as we have to dismantle the safety grids, Empty, Clean, re-install the grids and then add 10mm gravel.

As your see from the video we really make sure that the pond is in 5⭐ condition.

As a business we believe in giving back to community and helping out. So this time around we donated a Oase LED light system. to eliminate the ⛲.

From a personal note I've had friends that have had family members, friends that have been patients and only a few weeks ago a friend lost a friend that had been cared for by Forest Holme. (Rest In Peace Kimberley Ross).

*Non pond project*

The wet weather has been a nightmare that has caused no end of problems.

So back in November I was asked by a recent client if we could do some garden works to extend the path around the pond that we completed in the summer.

I will generally say no to non pond oriented works because we know skills and stick in our lane.

However on this occasion I agreed and glad we did. Gave us a change and kept us working when monsoons came

Roughly 50 linear meters.
100 meters of Core Edging in Black installed.
Topped with 10mm dorset chipping.

Next week we're finishing off storage area for our trailers next week as the rain is coming back.

We carry out ponds drain down down and clean outside for alot of different reasons. Size dosn't matter We will provide solutions for all.

November we carried a clean in Blandford, In the end we had to hire a excavator and Dumper to remove and transport 20 + years of silt build up.

Last week Ben carried out a clean in Poole. This was to allow the client to start again after mistakenly adding duckweed to the pond.

(Check out our latest 5 star review for Ben's hard work). In another day of miserable British rain.

Big and small. However the target we aim for is still the same customer satisfaction.

So as we start trying to plan our last 5 weeks of 2025. Hopefully not to much rain!!

I wanted to show a garden-pond redevelopment that we did during April-May and June.

So we were tasked with total over all. Releveling and the installing a new pond, pathway and lawn.

Estimated:

40-45 Tonnes of Soil and concrete removed.
3 Tonnes of concrete.
300 Concrete blocks
4 Tonnes of 14mm Gravel
45 square meters of rolawn turf.

We Installed a concrete block pond with 6 inch concrete foundation. Fibreglass lined and surround with some nice Portland stone supplied by the customer.

A late edition was new Oase filtoclear filter and pump setup.

All installed in one of driest Spring and Summer on record.

Start of October and the dry weather allowed us to fibreglass another pond this time near bloxworth.
A big pond that had been sealed before with
pond paint.

Pond paint has its bonuses, very affordable for a sealing but if the surface behind it is poor. In a few years the leaks come back. With fibreglass sealing we create a waterproof shell within the pond and this creates a stronger waterproof covering. that can Last beyond 20 years and can be repaired with ease.

We're now finding that clients are investing a little more and having temporary structures built while work is done. Creating clean and dry environment for work to done without delays.

Back in the spring-summer we started looking after a pond for Thales UK.

It's been a interesting challenge as we've had to up our processes and management to included dbs and security checks, risk assessments and all paper work that goes with it. It's not something that I relish. *Sticky me in a muddy pond anyday* but I see as a badge of honour that we can be trusted to do the jobs that we promise.

This pond install was a rare request. It's been years since I last installed a preformed fibreglass. As your see from photo's the original pond was completely worn out and 20+ years old.

We were asked by the client to install this pond for their daughter who lives in assisted living.

From the beginning we worked with the Family, Charity to to keep disruption to a minimum.
