The completed geometric tiled hallway restoration from the last week in Montpellier, Cheltenham. A grand Georgian property, the original tiled hallway was in need of some serious restoration. The front section of the floor had completely dropped, meaning the tiles needed to be carefully lifted, so that the base could be secured, before re tiling. This allowed us to make a slight change to the layout, running the border across the front of the room, giving better symmetry and cohesion to the space. The large porch space had sadly long since lost the original tiles, and for the time being, the doormat will remain in place. Repairs were also made to the original WC tiles, and we installed tiled door borders in the living room and kitchen doorways, replicating the original WC door border. The completed hallway restoration from the last week in Pontcanna, Cardiff.

A beautiful original tiled hallway, with some unusually rare colours and shapes. Minor repairs were needed throughout, and a good clean and seal. It’s brightened up wonderfully, and we’re pleased to say that the clients are delighted. Take a look through to the end to see how this looked before.

The completed pathway tile installation project from the last fortnight in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan.

An impressive length of 15m, one of the longest we’ve installed. The client opted to match the original porch tiles with a 2” black and white check and classic border. An elegant and timeless design. The second image shows how this space started.

We’ll look forward to seeing this one again in a few weeks once return to complete the adjacent resin works. A huge transformation overall!

The completed hallway restoration from last week in Ross-on-Wye at the lovely castle lodge hotel.

The team have been busy working on this original tiled hallway in the hotel in Herefordshire. In need of repairs, in particular to the large footwell, which had sunken and was causing water ingress at the doorway to the hotel. The client opted to remove entirely, and this space was tiled to match (swipe to see beforehand). Work was also needed on the door borders. The choice was made to swap the colours for the doorways, and also replace the wide wooden step at the entrance to the breakfast room. Overall a very successful project.

The completed hallway installation project from last week in Weymouth, Dorset.

The property benefitted from original porch tiles, which became the basis for the hallway inspiration. With the original floorboards needing serious work, with the joists below rotten and in a state of disrepair, the decision was made to continue tiles through to the hallway space. The team spent the first half of the week working on the base. The floorboards were lifted and joists replaced before tiling could commence. Using the porch tiles as incluence, replicating the original border in the hallway, with an intricate main design using colours to match. We included bespoke encaustic tiles from Craven Dunnill Jackfield to match the porch tiles within the main pattern.

Having also fitted a beautiful stained glass front door from Geleta doors , this entrance now has some serious wow factor!

Overall, a very successful project.

The completed geometric tile installation project from the last few weeks in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan.

This Victorian property has undergone some extensive renovations, and the clients were keen to inject some period grandeur to the entrance. Having reconfigured the entrance to allow for a wider hallway and narrower WC, they fell in love with this classic design. We played around with colour to create this pattern, to run throughout the spaces. Completed with bespoke door borders. They’re delighted with the results, as are we! Look through to the end of the carousel to see how this space looked beforehand.

The completed installation project from the last few weeks in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan. Nic took on this project solo whilst myself and Matt were on our family holiday, and he’s done an amazing job!

A twist on one of our classic patterns, using smaller 2” tiles to create the monochrome design. This has really elevated and widened the space. It really looks fantastic, a showstopping entrance for this grand period home.

The last week was spent in Dinas Powys, installing this elegant hallway floor.

A classic design, elevated with the introduction of patterned encaustic tiles. We worked with the client to create this stylish colour scheme which has worked beautifully.
