A massive thank you to the whole Mathison team for all your efforts over the last few days! The immense efforts involved in getting to work, getting out to customers and resolving their issues was a challenge but everyone did what they could including some engineers walking to a number of customers as they were unreachable by van!! I am so proud to be part of such a dedicated team!! We have a busy week ahead in the aftermath of the recent weather but I know the team will do what they can to keep our customers safe and warm!!

We hope our post earlier today was of some help to local residents, we were lucky to be able to assist some customers by talking them through a temporary resolution over the phone and for those that we could get to we were able to get most people’s systems up and running again but for those customers that still have issues or experience problems from tonight’s low temperatures, we are back in the office and trying to attend to properties in the morning!! Good luck to all tonight, stay safe and warm if you can!!

We are experiencing a high level of calls today and we are doing our best to get to as many customers as we can. If your fault is due to a frozen condense pipe we would suggest the following where possible: pouring hot water on the external section of pipe work to unfreeze and allow the water to flow freely followed by trying to insulate the pipe work with an old towel etc to prevent re-freeze.
