Work is in progress at the Winter Gardens Blackpool! 🏖

DES Energy technicians are currently on site preparing to install a rooftop solar PV system. This image shows the roof fitted with mounting rails on which the photovoltaic panels will be fixed, ready to provide the complex with renewable energy for years to come. ☀⚡🌱

Joe Westney and DES director Sean Egan were excited to attend the Baines School Careers Fair yesterday. 🧑‍🎓

Careers Officer Katie Kinder and her team organised a fantastic event with parents and pupils queuing out of the door to talk about their next steps after school with various companies and colleges.

We were delighted to speak with visitors about DES apprenticeships, training the next generation of qualified electricians.⚡

We were also very keen to talk about potential future opportunities for young people at DES HQ where our commercial, financial, and support teams drive projects to completion. 📑

At DES we are committed to creating these opportunities for young people in the Wyre area; training over 80 apprentices in our 23 years and promoting a culture of developing young talent in office-based roles to ensure we have the right people in place to build into the future. 💡

DES Selected for £43M Ultra Energy Efficient Leisure Centre.

DES is proud to have been selected to deliver the electrical installation within a pioneering green leisure complex at Spelthorne in Staines-on-Thames.

The complex will be among the first in the UK to achieve the ultra-sustainable Passivhaus standard.

DES has already completed the design, with installation works to commence in May 2023.

Project Update: DES is pleased to report that the new Blackpool Multi-Storey Car Park electrical installation is progressing well.

Contract Manager Lee Niven (left) and Site Manager Mark Brittain met on-site yesterday to review the programme.

We are proud to be working on a project which will make a huge positive difference to residents and visitors in the heart of Blackpool, just a few miles away from our HQ in Poulton-le-Fylde.

In 2020, DES Electrical worked alongside Willmott Dixon on the £33 million Hounslow Green School for Boys project.

The scope of work included construction and fitout of a new 9,000m2 secondary school with sixth form, as well as changes to the existing car park, new cycle and multi-use games area, and lighting.
