Another poultry shed project completed near Cambridge 🐔⚡

We recently wired and commissioned an automated muck scraper system underneath the chicken shed system.

The scraper works alongside the muck panel to automatically keep underneath the system clean and help reduce floor eggs by keeping the birds moving and the area maintained efficiently.

Full control panel wiring, motors, controls and automation all completed and tested by us ✅

Always good working on projects that improve efficiency and make day-to-day management easier for the customer.

🔧 Dawn to Dusk Pop Hole Control Panel Installed 🐓

Another custom job completed by Luke Morgan Electrical, alongside K Morton farm services.

We built and installed a control panel for automatic dawn-to-dusk pop holes, allowing the coop doors to open in the morning and close at night automatically.

This keeps poultry safe from predators and saves the hassle of manually opening and closing doors every day.

⚡ Consumer Unit Upgrade After EICR

We were recently called out to carry out an EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report). During the inspection we discovered a loose connection on the neutral bar inside the consumer unit.

The connection had been overheating and had already started to melt the plastic enclosure, creating a serious potential fire risk. The customer was completely unaware of the issue until we carried out the inspection.

Due to the damage and safety concerns, the existing plastic board was removed and replaced with a new metal consumer unit fully fitted with RCBO protection on all circuits.

Once installed, the installation was fully tested and certified to ensure everything was safe and compliant.

✅ Fault identified during EICR
✅ Damaged plastic consumer unit removed
✅ New metal consumer unit installed
✅ Fully tested and certified
✅ circuits labelled

Another example of why regular electrical inspections are so important — problems like this often go unnoticed until they become dangerous.
