Six months has flown by since our last Open Studio back in May. I'm really looking forward to opening the doors on November 5th for 4 days, with a new collection of work to show you.

As you can see in the photo above, I have fulfilled one ambition I had for this year - which was to go LARGE! These 3 paintings are a series, inspired by my years in South Devon. I’ve followed my instinct (and heart) in these pieces. I’ve opened up big spaces and let light and colour flow through. As I continue pushing myself and my work, I feel that I’m reaching a new level of understanding.

The smaller work has supported the big paintings, they are worked on concurrently, and I feel that as a body of work, they harmonise. A few more flowers have crept in, it's such a joy to do!

Okay, we’re open on 5-8 November, please head over to Wimbledon Art Studios for all the details. I have taken a beautiful big studio in RED (top floor), number 234, on the opposite wall to where you usually find me, ask the helpers if you get lost!

FINISHED- I think. Cloudy Bay is a big painting. It’s taken weeks but I finally think I have found its conclusion.. which makes me extremely happy. Available at the up and coming Wimbledon Art Fair Wimbledon Art Studios 5-8 November.

Recent work, recent thinking. Changing seasons. It hurts sometimes to change, to grow and shed and bring new buds to the surface. Essential though. I am extremely fortunate to be an artist that doesn’t stand still for so long - as soon as I feel I am pigeon holing myself I tend to clamber out and start working to find a new way forward. I am never going to stop learning. I’m working on these landscapes and having such a smile on my face as I paint. I’m falling headlong into them.. just thought I’d share some work in progress oh yes and the TRIPTYCH! I chose to keep it as a three - it is framed. If you’re in Wimbledon this weekend I will have that one and lots of others on display for the wonderful art trail - I’m showing at the stunning showrooms Day True which is Venue 28 Thankyou so much Katie Preston & Katharine Rowe for organising!

I am thrilled to let you know I am teaming up with two other local artists to take part in this years Wimbledon Art Trail. I will be showing my work up in Wimbleson Village at the Day True Showroom, 19 High St, Wimbledon , SW19 5DX. It’s a perfect location for a wander around the boutiquey shi-shi shops in the village, or come and see us after a nice lunch! It’s a beautiful showroom for kitchens and homes, a perfect place to see how easy it is to integrate original art into homes. Annes unique ceramics and Gabrielas beautiful paintings and I are there 10.30-5.00 on 12th and 13th September. I heard the news that yayoikusama had passed away yesterday, which was the third shocking death in as many days. I have loved taking some special people to her Infinity Room at Tate these last few years. She was magical, moon dust and starlight. She is someone that I dearly hope rests in peace.
