It’s always great to hear such positive feedback for the work the team & myself carryout 😃

Whilst out walking Deputy my tree trained eyes spotted something that didn’t seem quite right!!! 🤔
A Willow tree & Ash tree are sharing the same location in a field. The decayed void in the Willow making way for the Ash to grow and flourish along side. The trees at some point have both previously been pollarded and so their crown gives the sense of one species of tree.
To add to the magic on even closer inspection a Hawthorn tree has joined the party with a young Elm tree establishing itself in a compost filled void further into the crown.
A four tree super combo 🌲🌳

Finished….

A mammoth of a hedge..
The famous local landmark that is the Brampton Bryan, cloud pruned, topiary Yew hedge.
It is recorded that this is the longest length of hedge trimmed to this style in the UK.
It is reported that the total face length of this hedge on The Harley Estate covers around half a mile long.. (after spending 15 days trimming it with an average of four men per day I can quite believe it).
Anyway, it is smart & tidy for another year.. enjoy ☺️
A huge thank you for all their hard work, high skilled trimming & eye to detail goes to
Tom Morris

A 4-1 pulley system to aid with felling dead an Ash tree.
Notice how the tree shatters to pieces when it hits the ground 💥

Work “hard” not “smart” 🤔🤨😉😉
Tip tied rigging technique, probably my favourite style of rigging, a simple but extremely affective way to lower material with little too no shock load on the lowering point 💪💪

A visit back this week to a site where the team previously pollarded an Oak tree back in March 2022.
The tree was in a state of decline, due to its close proximity to a public highway, a tree safety report requested the tree be either removed or pollarded.
I can honestly say, due to the Oak tree’s age, I did not have any hope for the tree to reshoot or come back from such surgery…. Generally to start an Oak pollard the tree would be a lot younger 🌳
Well, just take a look at the photos, masses of epicormic regrowth…
The root system survived and has pushed out plenty of new growth over the past two growing seasons.
Happy days, we have the start of a veteranised Oak pollard, this tree will be in place (fingers crossed) for many more generations 🌳❤️
