THE POWER OF THE SOCIALS

Turns out not everyone on here works for screwfix. Asked the other day on the stories if anyone had a spare worcester junior to set up at the unit so I could do a few breakdown lessons with the lads and I got loads of responses offering. So thanks to everyone that did. Shout out to though for putting one aside which I went and collected today. Good to meet someone on here and interesting to hear his journey in the trade and just all round being a top lad (this is what the internet is all about) ✌🏻

Thats your bread and butter right there

Conversion from last week to kick the year off, we had to run a new gas main in and took the external route as the house was recently renovated from last year. Tested the pipework from the conversion via the air tester upto to 2 bar just to see if any of the old fittings had issue with being pressurised (they didnt) and fired it all up. As always with any new install and especially a converison the system was flushed (in this case magna flushed) with x800 left in over night. Re filled and balanced the system. Hand over completed and boiler modulated right down to try and work to its maximum efficiency yadayadayada 🥱

Main bathroom in this house we completed a few weeks back!

As always, its back to brick and fresh start in all areas to get that detailed finish 🙌🏻

Really like the transition from to tile. Everything apart from ceiling skim and tile has been completed by us. Onto the En suite in a few weeks time 🫡

After a long time away from Facebook we have opened the page back up due to wanting to further another platform, messages through either whatsapp or instagram are now all interlinked so it is much easier to get back to messages.

Plenty of past/future to work to come.

“Where do we go” is what was running through my head when we opened the cupboard on this one 😂😂 glad to see the back of it🤦🏼‍♂️ the pipes from the original manifold didnt match up as there was add ons over christmas when the upstairs bathrooms was re done, and some of the piping to the old manifold didnt follow any order, and just to make it even more of a laugh someone had lashed an extractor fan through the middle of it all 🤣🤣 done the best we could with it, swapping the old small bore iso’s out for butterflys and fitting a mcalpine coupling to the washer waste for ease of acccess to the 2 ports behind should you ever need to

The third and final bathroom at the Harbour Lane job, nothing more to say on this that hasnt been covered in the previous bathrooms, obviously the theme throughout this house is the 12mm frosted glass 🤣 which features in every bathroom and other areas of the house, wanting to keep the natural light to a maximum, the house itself is on a hill and over looks a plot of land so the views straight out of window are something else.

The Second bathroom at the Harbour lane job. No befores on any of these bathrooms as the job itself kind of snowballed from doing sections of repair work to ultimately replacing the full bathroom. Really happy with how it all turned out in the end as the client had a stressful time with previous trades and wasnt sure what avenue to go down in terms of what to repair. The old shower tray had badly leaked in here causing a massive amount of damage to the floor which led for it to be re structured. Theres a few things that i would have done differently and the client i think would have to but there hand was forced in some areas and they wanted to keep the shower screen (another nightmare to install without instructions 🤣) and shower valves to save some money. I would have liked to have had the basin unit more central but again that was an after as the floor had been tiled before being decided that the old unit wasnt going back in, all in all happy with how this one turned out

Felt good to get this one finally across the line, 1 of 3 bathrooms at this house that had a fair bit of damage from the previous owner, this bathroom was being revamped so it had new tiles wc and shower tray, everything else was left original the shower screen itself was originally made to fit the old tray. We had zero instructions, a bag of fixings and 3 panels of glass to play with so patience on this one was massive 😂
