Glasshouse Refurbishment Project Completed

We recently completed a full refurbishment project on an existing glasshouse, helping restore both its appearance and functionality without the need for a full replacement for Loughborough University.

The works included:
✔️ Internal and external non-chemical pressure wash cleaning
✔️ Replacement of broken and cracked glass panes
✔️ Repairs to failed wall blocks
✔️ Repositioning and refixing bowed side cills
✔️ Full adjustment and restoration of the existing vent gear

The transformation was incredible, with improved light levels, restored ventilation, enhanced structural stability, and a much cleaner, safer growing environment overall.

*Vacancy - Glasshouse Technician - Immediate Start, Full Time, Permanent*

We’re on the lookout for a Glasshouse Technician to join our small but hardworking team due to upcoming contracts. We don't need qualifications as there are no qualifications for what we do. We just need someone reliable, punctual, hard working, safety conscious, switched on and able to do the job. We can teach everything else.
What we DO need from you:

✅ A clean driving licence. You'll get one of our company vehicles to use while working, so this is important.
✅ Willingness to complete a DBS check (as we work on schools, prisons and other secure sites).
✅ A good, keen work ethic, punctuality, and a can-do attitude! We don't need much else - we can teach you what we need.
✅ We work away in the UK sometimes, so you'd need to be able to commit to being away from home Monday to Friday some weeks. Notice would be provided and we offer a small bonus for each day you work away, we cover your meals and decent accommodation (no Premier Inns or B&B's) and you'll always have your own room.
✅ Be under no illusion - what we do is NOT easy. It's hard graft in all weathers. You'll need to be physically fit, able to lift and manoeuvre panes of glass, tin sheets and be able to be up and down ladders.
✅ A CSCS card is preferred, but if we think you're the right fit for us, we will help you get one.

What we offer:
💷 Hourly rate dependent on age & experience but will exceed National Minimum Wage, with regular pay reviews on completion of probationary period.
