Some incredible progress being made on one of our projects in Kendal!

This week, we have been busy 'paying it forward' by doing good deeds for others to spread a little bit of happiness, all in the name of mental health awareness week. If you were one of the lucky recipients of a good deed, we really hope it brightened your day!
We also had a visit from Truffle, the most beautiful pup! She spent the day in the office which certainly put a smile on everyone's face 😇

This week is Deaf Awareness Week 🧏‍♂️

Here are some deaf-friendly communication tips:

👋Get their attention:
To get a deaf person's attention, you can wave or tap their shoulder lightly.

🗣️Speak clearly:
Speak as you would normally would. Speaking slowly makes lip-reading difficult.

👍👎Use gestures:
Point to what you're talking about, and dont be shy about using gestures to support your communication.

This year, our staff had a go at learning the BSL alphabet. Learning some basic signs can make a huge difference to the deaf community, and helps keep communication accessible to all.

We were delighted that members of South Ribble planning committee voted unanimously to support the application in Lostock Hall recently. Westchurch can now move forward with their plans to deliver the 50 affordable homes with a mix of 1 bed to 4 bed homes, at the former Primary School site in 2023 🥳

What a start to the year - 2 planning approvals In 2 days!
First we have Cardwell Farm, Barton. This is a Wainhomes application working alongside Emery Planning for 47 new 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses as well as outline approval for 104 additional dwellings.
Next up we have Gains Park Way, Shrewsbury. This one is for 106 new 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes along with a local equipped area of play for Anwyl Homes! 👏
