Back to it this week after a fortnight off! This job’s in Oldham, and as you may well have suspected…it’s gonna be a beauty!

When I’m off work, one of my favourite things to do is drive to the houses of people we worked for earlier in the year and take photos of our builds! 🤩😍😂
This was built back in February. The conception was a real “back of a cigarette packet” affair, but I think it turned out ok…😉

🎶 More than I can chew, I’m afraid I have bitten
Totally worth it - with these I am smitten!
From simple and timeless to lush with some bling,
These are a few of my favourite things!

Cream coloured shakers and shelving in oodles,
All my best projects began with bad doodles!
For bespoke constructions we could be the kings,
But you’ll regret booking when I start to sing!

Working til nights,
When my knees sting,
When I’m feeling saaaad.

Quick visit to Fulwood this afternoon to grab some snaps of a wall built back in May. Pictures don’t do this one justice at all, and I’ve a soft spot for the 2 tone colour scheme ☺️

I had a week of April off (reduced to 3 days owing to some extras) and apart from that I’ve not stopped since Christmas, so the completion of this job marking the start of a fortnight off feels way overdue!
This media wall was completed this morning in Lowton. Obviously not the most straightforward canvas with it containing a window but symmetry has been achieved nonetheless! We chose lower cabinets to keep that section under the line of the window, and made the surround wider than the window and shallower than the wall so it doesn’t feel like a huge tunnel. The right hand section has been panelled with oiled oak slats, and matches the dimensions of the left side.
The fire has got to be the nicest layout I’ve created so far too!
I’ve even decorated it (the colour is Mud Lark by Dulux Heritage before anyone asks!), so this build was ready to use the second we left.
It’s a shame the 8mm thick glass ordered hasn’t arrived in time…I never realised this was so hard to source “off the shelf”, so to speak! 🙈

This week’s job is 2 things…one, so tantalising close to completion that I’m not going to spoil it tonight, and two, round the corner from a wall built in March that’s recently been decorated! I’m guessing it’ll be a while before someone else fixes a Lego Concorde to their media wall…🧐😍

Second fix more or less done, woodwork and coving painted, ready to make this mother pop in the morning! 💪

Plastering in this humidity should be illegal! 🥵 All set for the second fix tomorrow, then the painting can commence! 🥰
