Following a recent tree survey, it was noted that both these London plane trees had a large amount of deadwood in the upper canopy 🌳⚠️
Because they’re in a high-target area used by road users, pedestrians and staff 🚗🚶‍♂️🏢 our client instructed us to remove all deadwood to make the trees safe.

By carrying out this work, we’ve reduced the risk of falling branches, improved airflow and helped support the long-term health of the trees 💪🌱

🌳 Crown Thinning & Rebalancing – 4 Mature Beech Trees (TPO-Protected) 🌳

We recently carried out corrective pruning on 4 beautiful beech trees that had suffered from poor past work. All trees were protected under a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) — so we handled the permissions and completed the job to BS3998 standards.

One of the jobs this week was removing a group of crack willows at a domestic property. Due to multiple split stems and several limbs that had previously snapped out, these trees had become a safety concern for the homeowners.

By carefully dismantling the trees, we’ve reduced the risk to the property and made the garden a much safer space.

Today’s works involved the removal of several trees as part of a larger commercial project — but we’re making sure nature still benefits.

♻️ Instead of removing all the arisings, we’re leaving chip and timber on site to be repurposed into hibernaculums — natural shelters that support insects, amphibians, and small mammals.

This small step plays a big part in contributing to the site’s Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and helps create long-term ecological value.
