🚨 BLOCKED GULLY CLEARED – FOUL WASTE & TISSUES CAUSING AN OVERFLOW! 🚨

Another nasty blockage successfully cleared for a customer! 💦🔧

We attended a property where the gully was completely blocked and overflowing with foul waste and tissues, causing wastewater to back up and spill over around the gully.

After clearing the blockage, we were able to get everything flowing freely again and leave the drainage system operating as it should. ✅

⚠️ Still got old clay gullies? It could be worth considering an upgrade.

Older clay gullies are typically fitted with a trapped design, which means that when there is an issue beyond the trap, it can prevent us from getting our CCTV camera through to properly inspect the pipework.

This is where a modern rodable gully can make a big difference.

By replacing an old clay gully with a rodable gully, you give yourself much better access to the drainage system. If a blockage occurs further down the line, we have an additional access point to work from — making it easier to rod, clear and investigate the drain when needed.

It might seem like a small upgrade, but having that extra access can make a huge difference when dealing with future blockages or drainage problems.

You’ll attend a variety of drainage works, provide excellent customer service and maintain our high standards of workmanship.

Minimum requirements:

✔️ 3+ years’ drainage experience
✔️ High Pressure Water Jetting
✔️ CCTV Drainage Surveys & Reporting
✔️ Drain Cleaning & Maintenance
✔️ Minor Drainage Repairs
✔️ Patch Lining & Trenchless Repairs
✔️ Excavation & Drainage Installation
✔️ Risk Assessments & Safe Systems of Work
✔️ Excellent fault-finding & problem-solving skills
✔️ Excellent communication & attention to detail
✔️ Full clean UK driving licence
✔️ Class 2 advantageous

🚨 BLOCKAGE CLEARED – ROOT INTRUSION FOUND! 🌳🚽

We recently attended a drainage blockage and, after carrying out a CCTV camera survey, we found the cause — roots had grown into the drain through a displaced joint.

Root ingress is something we see regularly, particularly in older clay drainage systems. Over time, the joints between sections of clay pipe can move, crack or become displaced. Even a small gap can give roots the opportunity to find their way into the pipe, where they continue to grow and eventually cause a serious blockage.

On this job, we used our Maxi Miller root-cutting machine to remove the roots and clear the pipe. Once cleared, we then lined over the affected joint, helping to seal the area and bring the joint back into alignment, reducing the risk of the roots returning and preventing further deterioration.

🔍 This is why CCTV drain surveys are so important.

A blockage is often just the symptom — the real problem could be a displaced joint, root ingress, cracked pipe or a drain that is starting to collapse.

Getting your drains inspected early can help identify these problems before they turn into major, costly issues, such as a collapsed drain, excavation work or extensive repairs.

👷‍♂️ The ideal candidates will have a 100% positive outlook, be great at fault finding and resolving customers problems with attention to detail and also be excellent working as part of a team or on their own.

Requirements for interview:

✔️ Minimum 3 years’ drainage experience
✔️ High Pressure Water Jetting experience
✔️ CCTV drainage surveying & reporting
✔️ Minor drainage repairs
✔️ Patch lining & trenchless repairs
✔️ Drain cleaning & maintenance
✔️ Excavation & drainage installations
✔️ Experience with risk assessments & safe systems of work
✔️ Excellent attention to detail
✔️ Good communication skills
✔️ Clean, full UK driving licence - Class 2 would be advantageous.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for multiple experienced Jet Vac Operators to join our expanding team, working across the North West.

💷 From £17.00 per hour
🕒 Monday – Friday | 12-hour day shifts
✔ Minimum 60 hours per week
⏰ Plenty of overtime available, with the opportunity to work 6–7 days per week for those looking to maximise their earnings.

What You'll Be Doing:

✅ High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ)
✅ Assisting with main line CCTV drainage surveys
✅ Reactive emergency drainage call-outs
✅ Planned maintenance works
✅ Clearing blockages, sewage, grease, silt and debris
✅ Cleaning and servicing interceptors and pump stations
✅ Working safely in confined spaces
✅ Completing job paperwork and daily vehicle checks
✅ Maintaining company vehicles and equipment to a high standard
✅ Delivering excellent customer service on every job

Essential Requirements:

✔ HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence with CPC
✔ HPWJ Qualification
✔ Confined Spaces Certification
✔ First Aid Qualification
✔ CSCS Card or SHEA Water
✔ SLG (Sign, Lighting & Guarding/Streetworks)
✔ Previous Jet Vac or drainage industry experience
✔ Experience servicing pump stations and interceptors
✔ Accountable, professional and hard-working attitude
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Flexible approach to working hours and emergency call-outs
