We’ve now brought the full **Phoenix Arena Blackpool** vision together on a dedicated project page.

What started as an independent concept by **Carters Building Consultancy** has developed into something that has generated significant public, political and media interest — including front-page coverage and national press.

Our vision explores what a **15,000–20,000 capacity, world-class arena** could mean for Blackpool — not simply as another entertainment venue, but as a genuine catalyst for regeneration.

The concept has been developed around:

• Major international concerts and touring events
• Indoor sport, boxing, esports and entertainment
• Conferences and exhibitions
• Premium hospitality, restaurants and terraces
• Landmark architecture and public realm
• Year-round activity rather than seasonal use
• Supporting hotels, restaurants and the wider local economy
• Creating another reason to **stay in Blackpool**, not simply visit for the day

Importantly, **Phoenix Arena remains our independently developed architectural concept**. The Government's reported **£20 million commitment** relates to the next stage of exploring the wider Blackpool arena opportunity — including feasibility, business case development and commercial testing — rather than funding our specific design.

But that is exactly why we created Phoenix Arena.

Rather than simply saying *“Blackpool needs an arena”*, we wanted to demonstrate visually what the scale of that ambition could actually look like.

Blackpool has entertained Britain for generations.

We believe the opportunity now exists to create a landmark capable of helping define its **next generation**.
