Pressure of flood water in the water chamber then presses the Chamber Gasket firmly against the door leaf in order to maintain what has proved to be an extremely effective flood seal under test conditions exceeding the industry standard PAS1188-1:2014 by some considerable margin by maintaining zero leakage at 600 mm of water for periods in excess of 24 hours. What makes our flood doors different? It all comes down to our patented Active Flood Seal✅💧

Not all flood protection systems are created equal. Our patented Active Flood Seal was designed by our Director to provide an intelligent, self-activating defence when flood water rises.

Here's how the inward opening Active Flood Seal works:

💧 Step 1 – Water enters the seal
Our specially engineered chamber gasket creates a multi-chamber structure. As flood water reaches the door, it is allowed to enter the first chamber before flowing into the expansion chamber.

💧 Step 2 – Water activates the seal
Rather than working against the door, the flood water works for it. As pressure builds within the chambers, it forces the seal firmly against the door leaf, wrapping around it to create a tight seal.

The seal is designed to activate from the moment flood water enters the chamber system at the threshold, providing protection without requiring significant flood depths.

Back on site and putting our flood-resistant doors to the test 💧

Following a recent maintenance visit, we returned to this customer’s property to carry out further testing on two of our installed doors. Using a controlled tank fill, we’re able to simulate real flood conditions and demonstrate just how effective these systems are.

The results speak for themselves - flood resistant from the outside, dry and secure on the inside.
