California Part Two!

The bear had an extended stop in California to soak up the sun and join in the 250th celebrations!

He visited Monterey Bay, the Big Sur Lodge, the Bixby Bridge, Julia Pfeiffer National Park (big trees!), stopped for a bite at what could possibly be the most beautiful Taco Bell in the world.

And then it was on to Cannery Row, to sit a spell with Ed ‘Doc’ Ricketts, before joining in with a round of gold at Pebble Beach (spent more time in the rough, but bears will be bears 🤷‍♂️), before joining in the birthday celebrations around the USA.

He’s going to have a sleep on the plane now because the next flight is a long one…

The bear has made it all the way across the US, and caught some sun in California, visiting Madonna Inn, and various other places throughout the Golden State (known as the Golden State for its links to the gold rush of 1848, as well as its weather, which it refuses to share with anyone!).

update:

Following his trip through Illinois, the bear ended up in Austin, Texas, where he took his hand at driving on the wrong side of the road, before heading off to Buc-ee’s, a Texas based chain store unlike anything we’ve seen on this side of the pond. One store would probably take over a small town!!

He mingled with Buc-ee and his friends, before filling the shopping cart with staples, a quick burger, and the obligatory Beaver Nuggets. It’s almost like you’re not allowed to check out unless these are in your trolley!

He’s already landed at his next destination, so more soon…
