Working around the changing & frustrating weather, it’s been a busy time behind the scenes this last few weeks. Prepping the beds and sowing the various wildflower seeds, ready for a summer & autumn ahead of vibrant colour, all bunched to your pre-orders, taken on here.
A to follow in a few short weeks.
I love seeing the vast diversity in the size shape and colour of the seeds. Wouldn’t look out of place in a bowl of muesli 😇😅

This will be something really different to try with your dog. From what I’ve learnt from Lisa, your dog gets much more stimulation from scent work than a dog walk. Which has got to be a good thing. Go give it a try

Just an ordinary weekday evening here 😊

My farm track is called Sod Hall Lane.

Each Spring, a local morris group called ‘Stone The Crows’ arrive to perform a dance called Sod Hall just by the spot where the Hall used to stand

They are a fun bunch ✅

Been wanting to share how stunning and impressive our Foxglove tree has been this last 2/3 weeks. But the Bluey purply colour of the flowers do not show up well against a blue sky 🙈. Frustrating…
Anyway here you go.
It blooms on the bare tree before the leaves emerge. Each flower group forms on ‘panicles’ that are about 12 inches tall/long.
The leaves when they do come, form into heart 💚 shape and can get 20/24 inches wide.
The video is to show the individual flowers scattered on the floor after strong winds.
A lovely feature tree, but it needs lots of room and can be considered invasive
