Thick, thick, carpet of moss today in Currie. House built early 60's and first time the roof has been touched, this amount of moss on a roof is an eyesore and without doubt would have caused alot more issues in the future if it was not removed. A few cracked tiles only so quite lucky.
Moss removed with profile scraper for this tile without the need to climb on the roof and cause more problems to an already fragile roof.
It can cause cracked, broken or displaced tiles that will allow water into the roof also block gutters and downpipes, this will mean storm water will run down the walls causing a handfull of other issues that can be expensive to repair. Moss Removal, North Berwick

This is a roof that has caused so many problems with the amount of moss on it.
Falling into the gutters causing them to fail, falling onto the pathway and the garden of the property meaning it was a clear up job most days.
Falling onto the cars and on to a new one story extention meaning the spores could take hold on the new roof and cause problems later on.

Moss was scraped off with the correct profile scraper for that tile then brushed off with wire brush, then brushed down with a soft bristled brush to remove the fine and dry bits.
Biocide was then applied to kill off any remaining moss/spores and this will also prevent any regrowth for the next few years.
This roof will gradually get cleaner as the weeks go on with the help of the rainfall.

We remove the moss with the corrrect profile scraper for your type of roof tile, we then treat it with a biocide to kill off any remaining spores and it also prevents regrowth and will protect for around five years. We will also clear gutters and downpipes as part of the process. Roof and gutter clean in Currie, Edinburgh. This roof was FULL of moss that had been growing for years. It is now free from moss and has had a biocide so will not cause the property owner any trouble anytime soon.
