Window surround done and render repaired. This was originally a doorway onto a balcony over a two story porch, we can only assume it became a dangerous structure and was removed in the late eighties and poorly patched up in aerated blocks and bricks that were proud of existing, then rendered, again, poorly.
The surrounds were timber mouldings.
We removed the cement based render and timber, 'spun' the misaligned infill to allow approx 15mm for the new NRC render, then redid it all to match in like for like materials.
Next up the main plinth detail and cornice below.

In the process of covering this beautiful brickwork with a Canterbury Spa dash render, the person thought it prudent to smash any detailing off, including these dentil and hand carved corbel stretchers.
I repaired them with my own brick repair mortar.
