Good afternoon everyone. If any of our wonderful customers can help support my wife on her mission to fundraise on behalf of Tommys by running this years London Landmarks Half Marathon we would be most appreciative. Shes so close to her target, I hope she smashes it !

She's worked incredibly hard since we lost our baby in 2023 to try and make a difference by raising money for charity. This year its for Tommys who are close to both of our hearts given the work they do and support we have had from them.

We cannot stress enough the importance of having your gas appliances installed by a qualified gas safe registered engineer.
We received a call from a lady who thought she could smell gas. We arranged for the supply to be isolated until we could get to her. Upon arrival we found a very serious gas leak under the hob which had been installed incorrectly by a “kitchen fitter” who was not qualified to work on gas appliances.
Fortunately for the customer we were able to rectify this very easily and prevent a potentially tragic accident. We have reported this incident in the correct manner as is the legal requirement. But this could have easily had a very different outcome.
Unfortunately we are seeing this more and more of late with unqualified people carrying out gas works and leaving people in potentially life threatening situations.
The Gas Safe Register is the official list of businesses that are legally qualified to work with gas appliances such as boilers and cookers. Only people who are Gas Safe registered are allowed to install, remove, repair or service a gas appliance and not all engineers are able to carry out all types of work.
PLEASE make sure whoever you use for work on ANY gas appliance is on the Gas Safe register and qualified for the type of gas you have to keep you and your family safe.

We attended this customers boiler service on Monday to find the heat exchanger leaking. The customer was given some repair options, including a fixed price repair from Worcester but chose to not throw money at an old boiler and opted for a like for like new one. We managed to fit them in quickly and they were up & running with a shiny new boiler just a few days later 😊
