A customer contacted us after two radiators weren’t heating properly. On arrival, we protected the areas we were working, carried out a full inspection, and quickly identified the problem.

The radiator and towel rail had been connected using flexible pipework and isolation valves something that’s prone to blockages when used on heating systems.

We removed the faulty pipework and isolation valves and re piped these sections withplastic Speedfit pipework beneath the floor, transitioning to copper at the radiator valves .

Once installed, we refilled the system, checked for leaks, and tested every radiator to ensure full heat distribution throughout the property.

To finish, we used thermal imaging camera to clearly show the system working exactly as it should

full service on this Grant Vortex oil boiler. We gave it a deep clean from top to bottom! We stripped the outer casing, removed the combustion panel, pulled out all the tubelettes and soaked them in sugar soap for a thorough clean. While the lad was sorting the tubeletts, I took out every baffle, removed the Riello burner, scraped and wire brushed the baffles, cleaned the tubeletts holes with our jet wash. We also cleared out the condensate trap, replaced the perished rope seal, refitted everything, changed the burner nozzle, cleaned the blast tube, and reinstalled the burner. Fired it up, adjusted the pump pressure, and ran a full combustion analysis
Boiler now running clean, efficient, and safe again.
