Vote for the bee!

The Bank of England is printing new banknotes and the buff-tailed bumblebee made the shortlist!!

We do bee-friendly gardening to help like the buff-tailed bumblebee. It works longer hours, flies in worse weather, and does more for our food and wildflowers than most people realise. If any creature deserves a spot on a banknote, it’s this one.

Delphiniums are a classic cottage garden perennial.
They will come back for about 3 to 5 years and are known for their tall, dramatic flower spikes in shades of blue, purple, pink, and white, attracting many .
They thrive in full sun and rich, well-drained soil sometimes requiring staking for support and protection from strong winds.

Lavender and stones look very nice together.
This is a bed that’s been taken over by wild garlic. - We removed the garlic and dusted off the stones to give it a 5 star appearance.

Cottage Gardens by definition can be a bit organised chaos, but this customer wanted to take back control, so we helped replace this lovely log roll border.

Hedgehogs the lovable garden friend that eats the pests we don’t like is struggling.
Whenever we put fences up we leave gaps so they can pass from garden to garden and we try not to use harsh chemicals.
And we support places like Mel's hedgehog rescue that nurse injured hogs back to health.
If there is one thing you want to do at this year’s awareness week you can go to their Amazon wish list and buy them some dinner while they recover xx.

We’re not a nursery, but as the proud holder of the we import the finest Baptisia plants from far and wide for you to enjoy.

Today we’ve received some beautiful plants from the Netherlands and you’ll be able to purchase them on the 23rd May during our open day.
