Perfect Boundary Limited are an established Reading based Landscaping and Construction company; looking for a skilled hard landscaper to join us on a self employed basis to work on the project side of the company in a fun and safe environment. The individual would report to the owner manager and be part of a team working on private landscaping projects, including the construction of a range of hard and soft features, completed on time, in budget and to the high level of quality set by the company.

The main technical duties of this position are the construction of hard and soft landscaping tasks including to:
• Build retaining and decorative walls in brick, block and in various finishes, apply tier walling, build steps and other hard landscaping features
• Lay paving slabs, block paving, stone setts
• Prepare bases and foundations including the use of ready mixed concrete and supervise and/or use vibration compaction equipment.
• Operate machines in the course of hard and soft landscaping duties
• Undertake specific tasks set by manager
• Undertake groundwork including the installation of drainage systems.
• Prepare ground for turf, including setting of levels, even compaction of ground and correct laying of turf
• Maintain clean and tidy tools and equipment at all times
The persons main responsibilities of this position are to:
• Set an example of good working practices at all times - quality standards, timekeeping, attitude and professional behaviour
• Motivate your team members to achieve the tasks set and to work efficiently and effectively
• Ensure all vehicles, tools and machinery used are kept clean and correctly maintained
• Report daily to manager on work progress and re-schedule/re-plan as required
• Review individual projects in terms of work quality, performance and any other issues for improvement
Specific skills and experience should include competence in:
• Hard landscaping skills required for above duties
• Use of excavator, dumper, rotavator, grinders, disc cutter, circular saw
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years practical experience (a formal qualification in landscaping would be an advantage)
• Full UK driving licence
• CPCS Licence for machine/excavator operation
• Class 1 Licence (would be an advantage)

Monday to Friday inclusive: 08.00 am to 4.00pm
