Brief: This is a new 3 stage separator connected to 2 x new yard gullys with silt baskets. This system then pumps up hill to an oil separator then out to the mains foul drainage.

Reason: This is to separate all plastics and oils from any contaminated water.

Why: This is a recycling plant for electronic waste inc motors and plastics etc.
Also due to fire risks with batteries etc the pumps will shut down when the fire alarm sounds. This means no accidental pollution can occur if the fire crews use chemicals.

Ready for tarmac, jobs good to go!

New job started, lots of earth to move so we can install the new pump pit and separator equipment.

While it may look like it's taken a wrong turn, this remote-controlled crawler is actually one of the specialist tools we use to survey larger underground pipes. Operated from above, it travels through the pipe with onboard cameras and powerful lighting, providing live footage of the pipe's condition directly back to our operators.

Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for this manhole... 😳🫣 The condition was concerning enough that we had to pause the survey and take a closer look.

A very clever bit of kit, even if it does occasionally find things we'd rather not see! 😅😎

Hear we have some cleaning of underground drains before surveying to check to condition. As they are dirty with sand, silt and stone. We suck out the muck so it doesn't go down the other lines.
