Bathroom Renovation – Tilehurst ⬇️

This Tilehurst bathroom was completely transformed by rethinking both the layout and the services. By relocating the existing boiler and hot water cylinder and installing a new Vaillant combi boiler in the loft, we unlocked the full potential of the space.✨

A recent plant room, part of huge project we undertook in the later part of 2025 for a builder. An original 4 bed 2 bathroom house, changed to 3 story, 6 bath and 6 bedroom, with external plant room.
House is running on 2 x 8kw Air Source Heat Pumps, 400 litre unvented cylinder. Unfortunately the house only has 1.5 bar pressure to the property, so in order to run all showers at once a Variable speed Powertank has been installed supplying the property with 3bar, 60 litres per minute if required , ensuring all 6 showers can be used at once.

Underfloor heating on the bottom floor, radiators on the next 2 with towel rails in each of the bathrooms. 28mm heating circuit run to each radiator to ensure the flow and return temperature stayed at the required delta T differential. All pipework insulated to ensure minimum heat loss and pressure tested at 8 bar to check all joints.

It’s been a busy start to the year. Pulled off the bathroom i’m on for a couple of days to help Adam Ashfield on one of his heating installs. Gravity water system was removed and new Vaillant UK 940 Storage combi installed in its place. Had to have new studwork plywood wall installed as the boiler when full is nearly 70 kilos. 13 new rads were installed and then the system was run through the Adey Magnacleanse to get any debris and sludge left in the pipes out. Customer now has mains hot and cold water at all outlets and a heating system where the radiators get hotter quicker and it is much more efficient. ♨️👨‍🔧🔧🔥💦

Part 2, Ensuite in the same house as the bathroom in Bracknell. This one had had a leak in it for a long time, so chipboard floor needing changing, new plasterboard on the walls. The customer wanted this one a little different with a make up mirror next to the lighted mirror and the whole basin wall as a feature wall with mosaic tiles.

Recent bathroom in Bracknell. Full removal of existing suite and tiles. All pipework altered and new suite fitted, fully tiled and custom made removable bath panel tiled in matching mosaics to above the basin. 👨‍🔧🛁🛠️

A recent ensuite renovation in Lower Early. Removal of an original pink coloured suite, then new shower, toilet and basin. Customer wanted a feature wall behind the shower to match the floor and half height tiled around the rest of the room. For a very small ensuite (1.2x1.4m not including shower area) i think this one turned out very nicely.

A recent job completed in Reading. Removal of the old boiler in the kitchen and cylinder in airing cupboard. Installation of new Vaillant Ecotec plus system boiler with 10 year warranty and new Main unvented cylinder fitted in the loft. Customer now has mains water pressure at all outlets.
