The aim is always to keep the finish neat, breathable and sympathetic to the existing brickwork, not to make it look overly modern or out of place.

Lime mortar allows older masonry to move and breathe naturally, which is why the right material matters.

Traditional materials, careful prep and a finish that suits the building.

Flash doing a class job of polishing up after we finished a good amount of lime mortar repointing.

We rub down brickwork with loft insulation to remove any stains left on the brickwork after repointing.

The Pnu-Point Mortar Gun back in action.

It’s a brilliant bit of kit for getting lime mortar deep into the joints quickly and consistently, especially on larger areas of repointing.

The gun helps with the filling, but the important part is still making sure the joints are properly packed, timed right, and finished by hand.

Faster application, but still done properly.

It’s a great tool for getting the mortar well packed into the joint, but the finish still comes down to proper handwork, timing and attention to detail.

Faster filling doesn’t mean cutting corners.

Can someone explain this one? 🤔

Our Ring doorbell caught an Evri delivery driver today putting one of our parcels halfway through the letterbox, taking a photo of it as if it had been delivered, and then pulling it back out again.

He then took another parcel, placed that one behind our bin, and walked away with the first parcel.

The parcel he photographed at our door wasn't left with us.

Luckily, the whole thing was caught on our Ring doorbell from start to finish.

We've kept the original footage and will be reporting it directly to Evri.

Certainly not what you expect to see when you check your doorbell footage. 😳

Fire damaged brickwork cleaned in Redcar and Cleveland.

This brickwork had been heavily coated in soot after a fire, so we carried out careful pressure washing to remove the surface contamination and bring the brickwork back to a much cleaner finish.

A good clean can make a massive difference before any further repair or restoration work is carried out.
