This is currently work in progress in a downstairs cloakroom. Basin not shown and cover has now been tiled. Work has been delayed as we are waiting on the water board to fix external stop tap as it is not shutting off water properly. Internal stop tap, which is in cloakroom, has stiffened over the years and now has a slow weap so needs replacing with a new one, hence the issue with the external tap!

Replacement outside tap fitted. Tap has integral double check valve (a valve that prevents possible dirty water being syphoned back into the mains system), and also an isolation valve for future maintenance and isolation during winter months. In line with Water Regs, the ideal is for a separate double check and isolation valve to be fitted inside the property, however space restraints rendered this impractical so an alternative solution is shown in the photo. Water Regs allow for this, thankfully!
