Get in josh ..💙
After an unexpected visit to Hospital and an operation we were convinced Round 3 of the BKC karting championship would not be possible for Josh last weekend.
However after receiving the best possible care from the Worcester Royal Hospital we were given permission to travel to Fulbeck in Lincolnshire to keep the title fight alive.
Testing on Friday went very well with Josh's lap times constantly in the top 3.
Qualifying had a little hiccup with a fellow competitor, resulting in a 4th place finish.
With the excellent kart and driver management we were receiving from MSport, Josh finished in the top 3 in all 4 heats, earning valuable c’ship points.
The final was another matter. Starting in 4th place in torrential rain we were immediately into 3rd by the end of lap 1, then disaster struck.
A multiple pile up caused by a spinning kart in 2nd place took Josh out and also karts in 4th and 5th, The race continued with Josh watching from the safety of a marshall's post, the kart way too damaged to continue the race, Gutted.
After totting up all the points earned over the weekend Josh has managed to retain his 2nd place in the championship and amazingly is now on equal points with the Championship leader.
Exciting times, Can't wait for round 4 in sunny Wales, September.
Bring it on.
