🏖️ Not a bad view from the office Saturday morning!

10am call out to Cove Cafe in Hayle after the front ring main started tripping.

Jumped in the van, battled the beach traffic and found somewhere creative to park 😂 before getting stuck into some fault finding.

Thankfully it didn't take too long to track down the problem and, just under 2 hours after the call came in, the power was back on and the coffee machine was back in action! ☕⚡

Another happy customer and another job done. 👌

⚡ Before & after on this one 💫

This old setup had two consumer units, an old rewireable fuse box in the garage and plenty of room for improvement.

I consolidated the boards into a new Fusebox consumer unit with individual RCBO protection and surge protection, replaced the garage board and installed a new outdoor supply.

While I was there, I also swapped the old fluorescent lighting for LED fittings and added a PIR floodlight to the garden.

Safer, smarter and a whole lot tidier. 👌

Sometimes you finish the kitchen… and then realise you need a couple more sockets! 😂

This customer wanted some additional sockets but didn't want to start ripping into the newly finished kitchen and risk disturbing the décor.
Sometimes, a surface installation is simply the most effective way to get the job done without creating a load of unnecessary mess.

A bit of careful planning, neat cable runs and the right accessories, and you can add the extra power you need while keeping everything tidy and in keeping with the room.

No chasing walls. No unnecessary damage. Just a practical solution that looks neat and does the job. 👌

Another little job where the simplest solution was the best one.

I love showing off the fancy kitchens, feature lighting and big renovation projects... but sometimes electrical work is simply about making life easier. 💡

This customer spends a lot of time in the garden, but had no convenient power for the mower, pressure washer or other garden tools.

So, I installed two new outdoor sockets — one at either end of the garden — along with some neat conduit work to supply a microwave sensor light in the alleyway.

Nothing flashy. No fancy lighting.

Just a simple, tidy, cost-effective installation that makes everyday life that little bit easier.

Sometimes it's the practical jobs that make the biggest difference. 👌

⚡ EV Charger Installation Near Truro ⚡

Another happy customer now has a brand new Anker Solix V1 7.4kW EV charger installed and ready to keep their electric vehicle charged at home.

While on site, I also carried out a few additional upgrades, including:
🔹 Installing a Surge Protection Device (SPD) to protect the property's electrical installation from transient overvoltages.
🔹 Fitting a wireless energy meter with CT clamp in the consumer unit, allowing the customer to monitor their energy usage.
🔹 Upgrading the downlights in both the lounge and dining room.

As with every EV charger installation, all the necessary paperwork was completed, including the Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) and the required notification to National Grid.
