This refurbishment project in Marlborough involved restoring a fixed four-pane timber window that had deteriorated over time. The work included repairs to the frame and bottom rail, replacing damaged glazing with new toughened single panes, installing a new double-glazed unit where required, and fitting a trickle vent to improve ventilation within the room. Every stage was completed with the aim of preserving the original window while improving its performance.
Once the repairs were complete, the entire window was carefully prepared before receiving a full interior and exterior paint finish. Restoring original timber windows in this way helps retain the character of period properties while extending the life of the existing joinery and improving day-to-day functionality.
