🌱 ANOTHER TRANSFORMATION COMPLETE 🌱

What started as a request to simply repoint a failed patio quickly turned into something a little more…

When we first inspected the patio, our intuition told us the pointing wasn’t the real problem. We explained to the customer that we couldn’t confidently offer our usual guarantee on the repointing without investigating what was underneath.

And our intuition was right. 👀

Once lifted, we found the patio had been laid on a building sand & 20mm limestone sub-base — not a suitable base for the level of compaction required, and ultimately the reason the patio had failed.

So rather than putting a temporary fix over the problem, we did it properly. 💪🏼

We:
• Lifted the existing patio
• Installed and compacted the correct sub-base
• Added additional drainage to cope with the amount of rainwater coming down from the surrounding hills
• Professionally cleaned and relaid the existing paving
• Finished the joints with a 2-part epoxy resin
• Added additional sleeper retaining
• Installed extra sockets and lighting throughout, including within the sleeper flowerbeds 💡🌿

Now the patio doesn’t just look good again — it’s been rebuilt properly underneath too. ✅

All that’s left is the final clean-up and, of course, some night-time pictures with all the lighting switched on 😍🔥

Hi everyone! Bit of a different post from us today. Although we’re showing off another one of our lovely transformations 🤩, there’s a slightly different message behind this one. 🌱

At Never Been Greener, we have multiple teams out completing transformations every day, all with their own vehicles. We also have company vehicles that are constantly on the move — delivering materials, removing waste and keeping our jobs running smoothly.

Around two weeks ago, two of our company vehicles suffered seized engines at almost exactly the same time. 😅

As you can imagine, losing two vehicles overnight threw a pretty big spanner in the works. It’s probably added around 25% to the completion time of some of our jobs while we’ve had to juggle vehicles, materials, waste removal and resources.

When something like that happens, you’ve got two choices…

You can crumble and make excuses, or you can roll your sleeves up, work twice as hard and find a way through it.

And that’s exactly what we’ve done. 💪💚

Have we fallen a few days behind on some jobs? Yes.

Have we cut corners to catch back up? Absolutely not.

If a two week transformation ends up taking three weeks because of circumstances outside our control, we completely understand that the extra time can be frustrating for a customer. They’re well within their rights to feel that way.

But there’s one thing we simply will not do — rush a job, lower our standards or cut corners just to get off site quicker.

Landscapers can sometimes find themselves stuck between a rock and a hard place. Take a little longer and people understandably want to know why. Rush to meet the original timeframe and compromise the workmanship, and that same customer would rightly be unhappy with the finished product.

For us, the choice is easy.

Quality wins. Every single time.

If those extra few days mean your dream garden is built properly, performs as it should and ultimately lasts 10 years longer, then those few days are a very small inconvenience compared with the years of enjoyment you’ll get from it. 🌱🏡

Things go wrong in every business. Vehicles break. Machinery fails. Deliveries get delayed. Weather changes.

What defines a company isn’t whether problems happen — it’s how they respond when they do.

We’ll keep working hard, keep finding solutions and, most importantly, keep delivering the standard of work that people expect when they choose Never Been Greener.

Be kind. Be respectful. But most importantly, be smart — choose a company that puts your long-term interests ahead of their short-term convenience. 💚🌱

Job finished a few weeks ago for a lovely couple in Firgrove 🌿💚

The customers already had an amazing garden, but wanted to make a few changes to take it to the next level — and we were more than happy to help!

Sometimes a transformation doesn’t mean ripping everything out and starting again. It’s about working with what’s already there, improving certain areas and adding those finishing touches that make the whole garden come together.

Well… we’re at it again! 💪

We’re just 2 days into another big sleeper retaining project, the groundwork is well underway and we’re now ready to start chucking the sleepers in! 🔨🪵

The best time to sort your garden was probably two summers ago.

The second best time is now.

Every year, we hear homeowners say “we’ll do it next year when we’ve got more money.” 💬

Then that money comes around and gets spent elsewhere. Before you know it, summer’s back, and the regret kicks in.

Another year of missed BBQs with friends, kids playing outside and making memories in the space you own.

A couple of jobs nearing completion, completely transformed by the team over the last week or so — and we’re not slowing down! 🔥
