Yesterday I unwrapped my Bannanas early after taking a peek and they were quite slimey. We have had an unusual amount of rain the past few weeks. Here's what I did:

🍌 Take all covers off
🍌 Cut the top off & any mushy parts of
the stems at an angle.
🍌 peel off any slimy sections
🍌Dust with yellow sulphur powder.
(helps reduce rot!)
🍌Any more Frost just cover lightly.
🍌If it rains pop plant pots over the top of the stems. You man need to dust with sulphur powder again once the weather dries up.

Some gingers are unusually mushy this year too in the garden.
🫚Chop off any rot
🫚Dust with sulphur
🫚Cover with something like a tray or water tight planter to keep them dry.

Uncovered the gunnera & that's perfectly fine and so are the Colocasias.
