From disjointed and dated, to a stunning modern family home 🏡
Here’s how we transformed this family home in Dore 👇
When the client, Jon and Marie, approached us, they already had an incredible architectural design full of potential. However, the original plans didn’t quite align with the budget.
That’s where we came in 👷♂️
Over 12 months, we worked closely with the clients and design team to reshape the project into something that was not only beautiful but also practical, achievable and cost-effective, without losing the original vision.
Some of the biggest challenges included:
👉 Removing almost every internal wall
👉 Installing 25+ steel beams throughout the property
👉 Correcting uneven floor levels
👉️ Fixing previous extensions that were pulling away from the main structure
👉 Bringing together five separate extensions into one cohesive home.
Once we were finished, Jon and Marie were left with:
✅ Open-plan, free-flowing living spaces
✅ Four bedrooms and three bathrooms
✅ A stunning bespoke oak staircase and vaulted landing
✅ Underfloor heating powered by an air source heat pump
✅ Solar panels and improved energy efficiency
✅ A beautiful modern exterior with aluminium glazing
✅ Dedicated office, utility room and luxury finishing touches throughout.
