Recently we were in a rather wet and windy Saffron Walden installing a brand new Closeboard Panel fence, these were installed on Concrete Gravel Boards and Posts! We also had to battle some unruly shrubs and trees. What a difference a few days makes. 💪

Hi everyone, we hope all your New Year’s are off to a great start! We’ve still been hard at it over the festive period, here are some pictures of a slightly different job than usual, that we completed in Meldreth. One of our returning customers needed a bridge and some garden steps replaced. We first installed the frame and finished the bridge with decking boards and wire for extra grip. We then built the frame for the steps out of sleepers and filled them with shingle. What a transformation! 🌉

Recently we’ve been in a scenic Great Gransden, installing a brand new Closeboard fence! The fence was along the boundary of a receding bank, so we used longer posts and set them on concrete spurs for added stability. We also installed a section of post and rail and repaired/replaced a number of gates and gateposts, including the one on the sheep paddock! 🐑

We’ve been back in Meldreth this week, saving a slowly subsiding area of paving for a returning customer! As the bank was falling away we installed a thicker shuttering to retain the patio and bring it back up to the correct level. We then reused any slabs that could be saved and replaced the broken slabs with brand new ones! We still have some availability throughout Autumn, so please do not hesitate to contact us with any of your Landscaping and Fencing needs no matter how big or small!

Another week, another job in Meldreth! This time installing a Sleeper Retaining Wall for a new customer’s rather overgrown culvert, this customer wanted to regain access along the culvert for his mower and sure up the disappearing bank. After fighting back the nettles, we installed the new sleeper wall, backfilled the soil and added a handrail at the customers request. Tidied it up very nicely! 🪏💪
