I am having issues with my phone, which is refusing to make calls much of the time and, frequently, the first I know of a call is a notification of an answerphone message. Not even a missed call notification.

I was in a client's loft and saw that the ducting to and from their inline fan wasn't connected. I put it back in place and made sure it won't come off again. When I mentioned it the client commented that he thought it was odd that the room was steamy after a shower even though he could hear the fan.
If you have the same issue, it's a good idea just to make sure that the ducting hasn't wiggled free

I can't claim any credit for the installation of the awning itself, the client's family did a great job with that. All that remained for me to do was get the motor humming.

I wear one of these when I'm working on lofts as it helps keep fibreglass and dirt from getting into my lungs and removes the awful feeling of glass fibres crunching between my teeth. 😬

However, I've noticed that whenever I put it on my mobile tends to ring. Please leave a message if I don't answer the phone as it's hard to talk when I'm mumbling like Darth Vader, covered in dust and balancing on roof beams. 😁

Dated rewireable fuse board replaced with a fully up to date, 18th Edition complaint board with individual RCBOs for each circuit and a surge protection device.

Halogen downlights run HOT! In this case that heat had nowhere to escape and scorched the cables and even melted a connector block to the lightbulb. You can see where the heat has discoloured the cable. The less said about the bare earths the better. In addition to the obvious problems, the bulbs kept burning out.

Removed and replaced with new, energy efficient and cool LED units. The cables were also replaced as the insulation literally crumbled when touched.
