Hi folks I’ve not posted on social media for 6 weeks.

I’ve been busy working, family, catching up with backlog, reports and quotes.
I think I’m almost caught up it has been a slog.

Anyone waiting on me for anything please message. Sometimes things get missed I’m not perfect and do it all myself with a little admin help.

Availability about 2-3 spare days in June is all I have.

July I have ZERO availability - on holiday and have some medical appointments meaning I need to take time off. July is my quietest month of the year so taking it off. There will be a delay getting back to your enquiries received in July.

Note:- Please folks don’t just pay for dry fogging services, also be very wary of new entrants to the mould “cleaning” market. They are making your indoor air quality worse. Please contract with a mould literate s520 protocol firm. Damp proofers spraying biocides are become more commonplace- don’t allow them anywhere near your property. Save money and your health.

The general builder or decorator advice is … First, identify and fix the leak, then ensure the area is dry. Treat the stain with a stain-blocking primer (e.g Zinsser) before repainting to prevent the stain from bleeding through.

What about the mouldy materials just left to produce mycotoxins and make people sick who are mould sensitive. Mcas -CIRS - immunocompromised HLA gene?

Your builder, plasterer and decorator for decades have been patching this damage up. Mould sensitive individuals move into a property and they react to the mycotoxins.

Over the past 10 years online I’ve tried to educate people on what is the correct approach (removal of mouldy water damage materials under containment). This is met with emotive words like overkill, clown, being doing it for years without issues.

Being doing it for years wrong!

Remove all mouldy materials stainblocking and painting is what makes you or your family sick.

Internal utility room why would you move in and close up the ventilation system? What triggers people to screw the valves onto the seat firmly closed?

New build so really airtight…

Would you wash your clothes in a machine full of mould?

What’s everyone’s thoughts on this prevention is better than trying to remediate this situation.

This is an artex ceiling in a poorly heated internal bathroom (no window) with an extractor fan that hasn’t worked for years. Flat in Hamilton south Lanarkshire

The tenant is really sick (suspected mould illness).

The landlord wants to employ the services of his handyman to deal with this. The tenant isn’t happy with the handyman scope/procedure to clean using bleach and repaint hence my engagement.

I’m more expensive to deal with this correctly by carrying out a healthy safe remediation. No chemicals just taking out the plasterboard with the artex attached (asbestos risk). Landlord wants the bleach and lick of paint approach from handyman.

There is now a standoff. The joys! I’m in the middle of a tenant/landlord dispute, spent hours on it and not made a penny!
