I had to share this brilliant drawing and watercolour by MollyPukes again — Molly is a Leeds‑based artist who captures the joy of flowers, animals and countryside life so perfectly, she used to work on a sheep farm herself 🎨🐑🌼

She’s passionate about keeping real, handmade art alive in our world full of AI‑generated marketing images, and I love that. This cost just £35 (absolute bargain!) and once I find a frame I like (I have been rummaging through the shops in Ruthin recently) the original print is going on my wall.

Give her a follow if you love supporting real creativity

We often get asked about our beautiful hand‑thrown vases and bowls. They’re part of our wedding offer and can be used within our bespoke wedding flowers service. Every single piece is made just up the road by Anvil Pottery, a local maker whose work we’ve loved for years.

When we first commissioned our vase sets, the plan was simple — a full range of bowls and vases, from large table centres to tiny bud vases, all in the classic oatmeal glaze. It felt like the safest choice for most colour schemes. But then we saw his signature blue glaze… and fell completely in love. Now we have full sets in both glazes, and they’ve become such a treasured part of our wedding kit.

And yes — they do occasionally get broken. When that happens, it’s not a case of nipping to the shop for a replacement. Each piece is completely unique and takes several weeks to throw, fire, and glaze. But we like to have nice things, and supporting a local maker is part of what makes our weddings feel so personal.

Which is your favourite — the soft oatmeal or the deep blue?

Who are we?

If you’re thinking about joining our Dreamatorium Meadow Box Workshop, here’s a little bit about who we are — and where your flowers are coming from.

Firth Flock Flowers is a small, sustainable flower farm based just outside Ruthin. All the flowers you’ll be using in the workshop are grown right here on our field: seasonal, organic, no‑dig, and bursting with character. Every stem has been planted, tended, and harvested by hand — and you’ll be arranging with the very same flowers we use for our weddings and events.

Last summer we asked Alex Morgan Photography to capture a little glimpse of life on the field, and the photos say it better than we ever could: the colours, the textures, the calm. This is where your meadowbox begins — rooted in the landscape of North Wales, grown just a few miles from The Dreamatorium.

If you’ve ever wondered what “locally grown flowers” really means, this workshop is the perfect way to experience it. You’ll be arranging with flowers that were growing in the field only days before, learning how we grow sustainably, and creating something beautiful to take home.

We can’t wait to welcome you.
