A fresh start for this door in Newport, PO30. The customer had recently moved in and asked us to replace the weathered lock with a new one.

With all the unpacking and decorating, changing the locks can easily slip down the moving-in list. It’s a sensible bit of housekeeping—a fresh set of keys, and you know who you’ve given copies to.

Had a call in Ryde PO33 for a key safe that simply wouldn’t open, even with the correct code.

I managed to get the old one open and removed, then fitted a similar replacement as the customer wanted. Back in use again the same day. 👍

Gate repair over in Ryde last week.
The old timber brace had rotted through and the ring latch had stopped working, so the gate wasn’t securing at all.

The customer wanted it sorted rather than patched, so we replaced the damaged brace and fitted a key-operated gate lock at the same time.

Lost the only key to this garage door in Newport.

Old cylinder was original to the door — no chance of a spare without pulling it first. Fitted a new anti-snap cylinder, comes with five keys as standard so there’s spares this time.
