I was asked to help push this project along. The build of a natural swimming pool is being carried out by another company but they have experienced some issues on the project. My job is to de-silt this pond and provide a level area for them to continue to work from.

A pretty messy job, I’m going to be jet washing my machine for some time to get the muck out from under it.

If you have a garden pond that you would like restored to provide a nature haven and a beautiful feature for your property then give me a call 📞

Another project currently running is a patio with retaining wall and steps.

All old slabs and block paving was lifted, footings dug and probably at the worst time, mixed 7 ton of ballast to pour and complete the footing ready for my bricklayers to install the walls. Not ideal in 30 degrees. I had a deadline so the other trades can fit in and so had to push through the heat.

I’ll post back when the job is complete. 👍 ☀️

I’ve undertaken a few projects carrying out groundwork’s for swimming pools. This project was a bit different. Instead of excavating soil for a pool, I was back filling instead. It wasn’t a great pool, poorly built and pretty much as you would expect from a garden pond with uneven sides. It may have started its life as a garden pond and a filter was added providing clear water at a later stage. The liner failed earlier this year and instead of renewing it or repairing it was decided to get rid of it as it was too costly to bring it up to a good standard.

During the back filling stage I have also been ripping out an old patio and installing a new one. Having somewhere to dump clean material has been invaluable. When the patio is complete this area will receive some good quality top soil and grass seed.

I also found time to dig out some well rotted manure and add these to the flower beds around the patio. The rest of the clients muck heap was gathered up neatly and will be used later this year or next when it will ready to put on the flower beds.

A beautiful day to be laying these slabs, at times a bit too hot. The job is now complete moving back to my recent extension in Sevenoaks for some landscaping next week. Watch this space for the updates

My current job is to bring a bit of purpose into this lovely large garden. A sweeping path to the existing shed and to the new areas of a workshop and patio. Concrete to arrive tomorrow to complete this project. Unfortunately I had to turn down the task of laying the granite sets as 2 large jobs in the pipeline and I can’t be held up should I get the go ahead to start. So for now smaller projects only and more than happy with that.

Another returning customer required some decking to be lifted and replaced for a potential sale of her property. I decided to lift the boards first before pricing for a full install to check the condition of the structure. If a few timbers could be replaced and then new boards then she would be able to save some money. Unfortunately the structure was completely rotten but a couple more years left in the balustrade meant it wasn’t a complete overhaul.

New structure built, boards installed and ready for agents pictures. What a lovely place to sit in this garden with far reaching views.

I haven’t taken a great deal of photos of late but managed to get a final few photos from some recent jobs.

The oak cladding on my recent extension shows the original house from the extended area. Lights on and a fully operational kitchen and diner looks like a beautiful spot to sit and watch the sun go down with the family around an evening meal.
Last year I carried out the installation of a large vegetable area of oak sleepers at this same property. The perfect set up to grow your own fruit and vegetables and take to the completed kitchen for preparation.

Another wonderful kitchen in the photos I had to get some photos of. Although I didn’t install either of these kitchens, I did carry out the works to provide a completed area for their install.

I’d love to have a kitchen to match but with 2 young children I refuse to spend the money until they are a bit older.

In the meantime I’m carrying out more work and hopefully another extension will be appearing on these pages in the coming months.

Send me a message of give me call to discuss any projects 😁

I never have much luck with uploading videos but think I may have cracked this in double quick time.

Turn volume on as there is a full explanation in the video, but in short, replaced an old fence because livestock thought they would go for a walk to the nearest town 🙈

Going to be a lot of fencing this year. If not for clients, I will be replacing a lot on the farm.
