One of our electricians testing machine is off to have its yearly calibration appointment! What and why is this important I hear you say?!?

💡It means our readings are more accurate than an a tester that is uncalibrated which can create safety hazards if it fails to identify dangerous electrical faults.

💡Our testing machines meet safety standards like
BS 7671. Our calibration records are checked when we have our annual NICEIC audit.

💡Many electrical jobs require Certification for your records once complete. Our test results also meet industry standards such as the 18th Edition wiring regulations.

Research recently commissioned by NICEIC shows 22% of homeowners haven’t had their electrics checked in over a decade.

An electrical check, known as an EICR, is an essential MOT for the home; helping to spot issues early and keeping people safe.

In privately owned homes, it is recommended an EICR is carried out at least every 10 years, and in rented properties it is a legal requirement to have one at least every 5 years.

The guidance is simple, prioritise the safety of your home by getting your installations checked by a NICEIC-registered electrician.

💡Do you know when your Electrical Installation Condition Report is due at your commercial property?

💡Did you know that they should be carried out every 5 years? Unless your previous EICR indicates a different time period of testing.

💡 Did you know that your Building Insurance may require you to have an up to date EICR to be covered?

💡Check your Consumer Unit for a sticker like this one that should tell you when your electrical circuits were last tested in your building.

We know how lucky we are to have loyal customers that keep using us for their electrical services and maintenance, but sometimes we forgot how long they have been, until we see an old quote, email or in this case photos 📸

This is a 2026 visit & 2020 visit which is like wow 6 years! So grateful 🙏 then we look back out of curiosity and we find our first job was in 2015!!!
