🐾 Walking the dogs, I see garden walls crumbling from frost damage… except one. Cambered bricks on top shed water and keep it looking perfect. Small detail. Huge difference.

If you follow the gutters and downpipes from the second floor dormers, into the main roof gutters and downpipes, into the ground floor lean-to extension gutter and straight into the neighbours garden and fence!

Interesting chimney stack today on a property in central London. If you zoom into the rectangular panel below the pots you will see that the original builder left a useful detail.

Inspected a little Victorian semi this week which had a wealth of bespoke features. The one I found most interesting was this spiral staircase serving the loft room.
