A VERY PROUD MOMENT FOR BUILD 4 SPACE
We’re incredibly proud to share that one of our projects has been featured in – November 2026 edition. 🇬🇧
This remarkable St Albans home is one of our most extensive transformations, with the property more than tripled in size through:
• Two-storey rear extension
• Two-storey side extension
• Two-storey front extension
• Single-storey rear extension
Built in 1930, the house had some unusual features more akin to late Edwardian homes in the area and, alongside the extensions, was in need of a total renovation.
From the very beginning, the focus was on creating a modern family home while preserving the character and charm of the original property.
We carefully retained and restored original decorative mouldings, internal doors and elements of the existing façade, while introducing bespoke joinery, beautiful wall panelling and high-quality finishes throughout.
A huge part of what makes this home so special was the clients’ incredible attention to detail. From the materials and finishes to the colours, joinery, lighting and interior details, every decision was carefully considered to create a home that feels both timeless and personal.
Their vision, combined with the expertise and craftsmanship of everyone involved, allowed us to create something truly special.
The result beautifully combines period character with contemporary family living — and seeing the finished project featured in a national interiors magazine makes us incredibly proud.
A massive thank you to our clients for trusting Build 4 Space with such a special project, and to our incredible team for the care, skill and craftsmanship that went into delivering it.
