The popular Street Cafe re-opened its doors last week after we completed a full renovation and extension.
🎉🍾
The finished build with the addition of an upstairs seating area, new kitchen, bar and finishing touches chosen by our client, has created a beautiful welcoming space to eat, drink and socialise for years to come.
It’s well worth a visit if you haven’t already and we hope you all enjoy it as much as we did building it.

We recently completed installation of this ramp at St Lukes School in Redbourn, allowing easy access and emergency exit from the school hall for wheelchair users and visually impaired.

Beforehand, the hall doors opened onto an uneven stone surface with the only acces being a set of stairs, so this installation is a huge improvement to the functionality and appearance.

HARRSKEL WINDOWS Cafe

These large sash windows installed at the Street café along with the cast stone sills, maintain a traditional architectural look to the building whilst providing modern day sound and insulation properties.
Opaque glazing has been used for privacy where required and can be supplied in a variety of designs.

Internal work at the street café is in full swing. Electricians and plumbers are on site, windows for the new first floor have been delivered and are ready for install in the next couple of days.

Feature walls created with brick slips are being fitted to enhance the finished look and feel. Brick slips enable you to easily create the look of an exposed brick wall without having to strip back interior walls. With the use of directional lighting, these can look great in a home or business setting.

The new roof is now fully constructed and felt and batten almost completed! Next stage is tiling💪🏼

Street Café progress…

The new extension is nearing structural completion. Next stage is the construction of the new roof. The existing rear roof has been stripped and temporarily waterproofed allowing the new roof to be adjoined.

Internally, the ground floor has been screeded, stud work walls installed and existing shop front flooring ripped out. The new first floor is also taking shape with the opening for the stairs created and studwork wall for the upstairs wc.
