Incredible Achievement for a Great Cause! 🏃

Last Sunday, our Operations Director James completed the Plymouth Half Marathon in an amazing 1 hour 52 minutes – a fantastic accomplishment! 🎉

Even better, he did it all to raise money for Gifted Women, a truly inspiring local charity making a real difference in Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

Gifted Women support women as they rebuild their lives and move towards employment. Many of the women they help have faced incredibly difficult circumstances, including homelessness, substance misuse, involvement with the justice system, and experiences of trauma, domestic abuse, exploitation, and poverty. Their work provides vital support, hope, and opportunities for a brighter future.

Usual hours all week but we'll be closed on the following days:

This afternoon, in the Cornish sunshine, we had the privilege to handover the electrical package to our friends at the Kingswood, as they embark on their new chapter. 😎 We feel truly honored to have played a part in delivering this widely anticipated project, and we wish Tom, Nicki and their team all the very best for a successful opening weekend. 🙌
We will share some "behind the scenes" in the not so distant future, until then, we hope you all enjoy the food, drinks & good vibes as much as we've enjoyed wiring everything together! ⚡

We might be a little late to the party, but better late than never. This week, we’re shining a spotlight on the apprentices who are shaping not just their careers, but the future of our industry.👨‍🔧👩‍🔧

This week has been an amazing opportunity to recognise our apprentices here at Dowrick Electrical, who have been developing their skills here with us and bringing success story's.⚡️

🔌We are proud to support our electrical apprentices, Warren and Mitch, who have been with us for three years of training. Over these few years they have developed key fundamental skills that are helping the industry grow and evolve in ways that are beneficial to all.🙌

💬 Warren said:- “I am grateful for the opportunity to be a 3rd year apprentice with Dowrick Electrical. There are always many opportunities to learn and expand my skills and knowledge in all aspects of the electrical industry and its always lovely to be part of a great team in whom I can always rely on to point me in the right direction and provide positive feedback on ways I can improve.”

💬 Mitch added:- “I’ve really enjoyed my apprenticeship so far at Dowrick Electrical. It’s given me the opportunity to learn hands-on skills on site while also developing my knowledge at college. I feel like I’m progressing well and gaining real experience every week, which is helping me build my confidence in the trade and working towards becoming fully qualified.”

💡This week we also welcomed, Georgina, who has started her Business Administration Apprenticeship with us here at Dowrick Electrical.

💬 Georgina commented:- “I am delighted to be starting my Business Level 3 Apprenticeship with Dowrick Electrical. I look forward to developing my skills and knowledge within the business, and I appreciate the training and support provided by Focus Training Group as I begin my career in Business Administration.’ We’re excited to support Georgina as she begins her career journey with us.”

Are you organised, motivated and ready to kickstart a career in business administration?
Join our friendly, forward-thinking team at Dowrick Electrical and help keep our office running smoothly while you work towards a Level 3 Business Administrator qualification.

You’ll gain hands-on experience, real responsibility and the support of a team that genuinely wants you to grow. For the right person, this could lead to a permanent role at the end of the programme.

• Handling calls, emails & customer enquiries
• Scheduling jobs and supporting our operations team
