How to tell if your lock is anti-snap.

Look at the face of your euro cylinder and the barrel in the middle, and check for a stamped logo.

You are looking for one of two things: a 3-star TS007 British Kitemark, or a Sold Secure Diamond mark (SS312). Either one means your cylinder has been independently certified and tested against snapping.

If the face is blank, or you can only see a 1-star mark, treat it as unprotected until you know otherwise.

Lock snapping requires no specialist skill and very little time. It is one of the most common methods used in UK burglaries, and most homeowners have no idea their lock is vulnerable until it is too late.
