I get at least one complaint a month from customers thinking I'm someone else. Rogue locksmiths all over the country with no training have used my name. From Portsmouth to Leicester to Oxford and Manchester.
The trouble is, anyone can call themselves a locksmith, because it's not a regulated industry. That's why, considering what's at stake, it's important that you find a locksmith that's qualified, either (as in my case) with a diploma, or through the Master Locksmith Association, or City & Guilds.

Even on a simple job I do the extra work to save you future problems.
Key was sticking and just needed a new cylinder. Upgraded to anti-snap and reduced the length to increase the security. I took out the gearbox and multipoint mechanism to check, clean and l**e. Door was tight so I adjusted the hinges for realignment. All part of the labour rate except for the cylinder.
Expect more for less with LockServe.

I was given these because the owner had forgotten the codes. Tricky opens because they're so cheaply made that it can be difficult to feel the true gates from the false gates. Even when the correct numbers are lined up they don't open until they've been slightly misaligned.
Of course, it's cheaper to buy 2 new locks than pay me to open them, but I'm just showing off..

Changed a key operated lock for a digital door lock. Hardest thing was not damaging the paper door! Unusual request from customer to change the code to the fewest number of button presses. 1 digit!

Stay safe. If you leave the key in your mortice at night it's not locked.
